The National Chief Imam, Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu in a press release has directed all Muslims in the country to suspend Jumuah prayers in order to obey the presidents directives.
The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo on Sunday evening address the public on some measures he has taken in order to combat the spread of the dreadful respiratory disease known as coronavirus or Covid-19.
Among the directives was for all social gatherings, be it Church service or mosques prayers to be suspended for a period of 4 weeks.
The disease which has led to the demise of thousands of people around the globe was reported to have been imported into the country some days ago.
In light of this, the National Chief Imam through consultations with Muslim stakeholders has agreed with the president and has ordered all Muslims to follow the following directives.
