The Ghana Medical Association in a press release has called upon the president of Ghana to consider a national lock-down to mitigate the coronavirus epidemic.
According to the association, this is a tried and tested approach to salvage this country from the current quagmire its facing.
Ghana has so far recorded two deaths and 68 cases of individuals who have tested positive to the virus.
The number, however, is expected to double to a hundred soon due to the number of contact tracing.
The letter which is signed by the President and General Secretary of the association also called on the President to only allow essential services to operate. They however failed to define what essential services meant in their statement means..
