Ghanaian comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney known popularly as DKB has taken to social media platform Twitter to respond to Andy Dosty description that he is ‘shallow minded’ to criticize Ghanaian DJ for playing Nigerian songs.
According to DKB, insults like what Andy Dosty spew to him is the reason why he has decided to stop advocating for DJ to play more Ghanaian songs to Nigerians this X-mas.
He said
“Boss @andydosty U actually called me shallow minded because I advocated for Ghana music this Xmas? If u watch my posts well, U’ll know I’ve stopped the campaign cos of insults like this. Sorry I didn’t knw there was a time U felt shy to play Ghana songs. “
DKB has suffered the venom attack from Andy Dosty when he called for Ghanaian DJ’s to play 100% of Ghanaian songs this Christmas. Andy Dosty who seems not to be happy with what the comedian said, lashed out at him and anyone who sided with him as shallow minded.
“ It is so sad and sickening that people sit on social media, thinking they are all knowing but [are] shallow-minded,” he fumed.
“You sit there complaining that we don’t play Ghanaian songs… At least, give us some credit. We’ve done well. In times past, we were even shy to play Ghanaian songs. Few years ago, Nigerian songs were all over but now, we are doing well. Enough!”
