The Ghana Police Service decision to wish their leader a happy father’s day wish on social media did not go down as expected as a section of Ghanaians took exception to it.
On father’s day, the Ghana police service Facebook handle posted a photo of the Inspector General of Police and wished him a happy father’s day.
“Happy Fathers Day to the inspector General of Police, Mr James Oppong-Boanuh and all Policemen. You are amazing, you have dedicated your life to serve for the safety and security of the greater majority , we salute you!“

Unfortunately, thins did not go on well as many Ghanaians took to the comment section to troll the IGP for his infamous comment concerning Crime happening everywhere.
The IGP defended himself in a recent interview when some people were calling for his resignation over the surge in arm robbery cases in Ghana by stating that crime was happening everywhere in the world except heaven.
Many took offense by his choice of words and used the father’s day wish on Facebook as a means of expressing their anger.
One comment that received a huge amount of reaction under the post read;”anka Heaven IGP de333, earthly father’s day fa wo ho ben”
The trolling forced the Ghana Police Service to delete the post.
