Liverpool secured a crushing victory over Man Utd to move 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League as goals from Virgil Van Dijk and Mo Salah wrapped up a 2-0 win that was far more comfortable than the scoreline suggested.
It could have been even worse for the Red Devils if a Roberto Firmino strike hadn’t been controversially disallowed by VAR for a push by Van Dijk on David De Gea.
Liverpool started brightly and took the lead when Van Dijk steered Alexander Arnold’s corner beyond Dea Gea in goal and then went on to wrap the game up few seconds from time as Salah scored a breakaway goal thanks to Alisson’s pass.
Liverpool have now taken 91 points from the kast93 available to them in the Premier League (P31, W30, D1, L0)
