Ruftown Records songstress, Wendy Shay has declared her intention of taking the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) and the Gaming Commission of Ghana to the Human Rights Court.
The Gaming Commission of Ghana has become the second Ghanaian institution to joined the FDA in banning celebrated Ghanaians and popular people from serving as advertisers of certain products. The FDA in 2015 banned celebrities from advertising for alcoholic beverages. At the time, the FDA said the new directive was to protect minors from being influenced by their celebrities.
The Gaming Commission of Ghana has taken a cue from this directive and has also outline policies that’s to ban celebrities from being advertisers for betting companies. Their directive seems to come at a time most Ghanaian celebrities have become ambassadors for one of the locally popular betting company,Bet Planet .
Wendy Shay took to twitter to reveal her next level of action by calling on fellow celebrities to join in.
“GH Celebs can we put our differences aside and fight the system ??

Ghana wake Up !!“
