Award winning freelance journalist and former employee of Joy FM, Manasseh Azure Awuni has chided the president by saying he has more faith in the promises a man gives to his wife when “his body is coming” than that of the president.

According the journalist who is known widely for his works that led to the exposé’ of one of the country’s corruption scandal, he used to believe in the words and promises of the Akufo-Addo -Bawumia government but after coming into power, they have been a shadow of themselves.

Sighting the currently embattled Auditor General, Mr. Daniel Yaw Domelevo as an example, Manasseh deduced that the actions against the Auditor General eroded the vestige of trust he still had in the president.

His remarks comes at the back of the NPP manifesto launch today. The NPP made several promises during the launch of their manifesto but it seems the journalist finds their words as mere words meant to win votes.

He posted on Facebook:

Whenever Akufo-Addo was speaking in 2016, come and see me — gidigidi, quoting and posting his words with trust and hope. Now, I trust the promises a man makes to his wife when “his body is coming” more than the president’s words. His action against Daniel Yaw Domelevo eroded the vestige of trust I still had in him. Unfortunately, I don’t trust his main opponent’s promises too. But I’ll vote on December 7 if I have life
