Over 100 grams of cocaine were seized from caterers in the set of the new Denzel Washington movie.
According to Variety, police in Maiori, Italy seized more than 100 grams of cocaine from caterers for the upcoming Denzel Washington film The Equalizer 3.
The action movie crew’s hotel rooms were searched by Carabinieri police after the production’s head of catering passed away on Monday from a heart attack, according to the Italian newspaper Il Giornale. The man was searched after several packages of cocaine were discovered on him.
Following the raid, 120 grams of cocaine were found, and two more caterers were detained on suspicion of narcotics trafficking.
Meanwhile, a third member of the catering staff had his driver’s license suspended after it was discovered that he was in possession of a minor quantity of cocaine. It’s unknown whether the incident will have an effect on the film’s production.
