Gabby Otchere Darko, the cousin of the president of Ghana Nana Akufo Addo has been dragged on social media for his attempt to play the equalisation card with the Agyapa Royalty deal.
Gabby Otchere-Darko, whose law firm has been appointed as the legal advisors for the deal which seems to value the Royalties coming from our 16 mines at $1billiin ,has been one of the government’s spokesperson advocating for the Agyapa Royalty deal agreement.
The Agyapa deal has generated a platoon of controversies with the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and the opposition NDC calling the deal corrupt and an attempt to shortchanged the country by gifting it resources to a handfew of people.
Gabby Otchere-Darko in an attempt to shoot back at the NDC revealed they also tried to set up the Ghana Gold Company Limited to engage in the same malfeasance when they were in power. This however did not go down well with a section of Ghanaians on the social media platform twitter.
