As the country prepares for the general election in December, it is almost inevitable that, the political parties and their respective flagbearers will commence an active engagement
of citizens, making commitments to arrest the myriad of challenges confronting Ghanaians.
As a portal to help Ghanaians make decision based on the promises given by the various political parties, Celebritieshype.com took a page of the 2016 manifesto of the ruling party to understand the thought behind one of its promises and also understand if they were done for the sake of it or they actually meant what they talked about.
In page 19 of the 2016 manifesto of the National Patriotic Party (NPP), under Agriculture and Rural development, the Akufo Addo-Bawumia led government promised to restore the Korle Lagoon back to it former glory and the reintroduction of fishes in the Lagoon.
“restore the Korle Lagoon. Including the reintroduction of its fish stock ” the part said.

Its been 4years since that promise was made and after winning the election in 2016, the Korle Lagoon seems to be filthy and dirty like never before.
A picture taken by a user on twitter paints a different picture as the npp manifesto promised.
