Lynx entertainment singer and songwriter, Kuame Eugene has denied having any prior knowledge of Sarkodie’s intention to endorse Nana Akufo Addo in his new song.
According to the singer, who was also featured on the ”Happy day” song, he sent his verse to Sarkodie after receiving the rapper’s first verse of the song and therefore had no idea the rapper was going to endorse a politician in his subsequent verse.
He added that, he only got to know the rapper had endorsed Nana Akufo Addo on the song during the video shoot. Though his management confronted the rapper, he denied having endorsed the president.
Kuami Eugene speaking in an interview on 3FM hosted by MzGee Ghana said:
“Sarkodie only sent me the first verse of his rap which did not contain the endorsement for Nana Addo to aid me do the chorus, it was only at the video shoot that we got to know of the second verse, we confronted Sark’s management, and they denied…I am uncomfortable, I still don’t know Sarkodie’s motive for the song, it will have an effect on my career, I wasn’t ready to vouch for any political party openly….it will not end here”.
