Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has narrated on his prime time network Net2 TV, how he was informed about Martin Amidu’s intention to ditch the NPP government.

According the legislator, he was told by his colleague parliamentarian Mahama Ayariga, the MP for Bawku Central that Martin Amidu will soon leave the Akufo Addo government.

Ayariga took me to their room and told me. We took him to Germany and test his mind. Ayarigo told me. If you get to Parliament lobby, they took me there and told me they were praying for us, he said ,we were going to bring the information to you guys but Mahama said we should leave him but Martin will ditch you ” he said.

Kennedy Agyapong also added that a police woman told him Martin Amidu does not respect the president. He also alluded that the former Special Prosecutor was full of evil.

Martin Amidu, who was the Special Prosecutor until the 16th of November , resigned from his position sighting the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo as one of the reasons for his decision.

In a lengthy resignation letter, the former special prosecutor accused the president of interfering in his work and also sighted instances that his independence as the special prosecutor was breached by the president.
