Multimedia Group Files Police Complaint, Petition Parliament, Otumfuo Over Threat Of Harm On Its Reporter By Kennedy Agyapong

The Multimedia Group Limited, owners of Joyfm have taken immediate steps to petition parliament, the Presidency, Otumfuo, and other International bodies over a threat issued on its reporter by Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.

The MP is reported to have issued the threats on his Television station in relation to the role played by its Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Erastus Asare Donker in the coverage of demonstrations in which two demonstrators were killed at Ajura.

The Assin Central MP, who is also Chairman of Parliaments Defence and Interior Committee is on record to have issued similar threats on the life of Ahmed Suale, an investigative journalist with Tiger Eye PI which eventually led to the death of the journalist.

In this latest incident, the MP is reported to have called on the public the beat up the journalist and threatened that if he were the President he will ensure the journalist is beaten up mercilessly.
