The president of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo has come under intense criticisms by popular Ghanaian celebrities like Nana Aba Anamoah over his deepening silence on the current happenings in Nigeria.

Nana Akufo Addo, who is known for his speed in wishing foreign leaders well on social media including his infamous social media well wish to Donald Trump when he stubbornly contracted the coronavirus , was recently elected the chairperson of Ecowas.

His decision not to make any statement on the current happenings in Nigeria where the police have been unleashed on peaceful protestors has led to criticisms from the Ghanaian Media giant , Nana Aba.

She took to twitter and in a series of posts, called on the president to speak up.

“@NAkufoAddo nothing on NIGERIA from ECOWAS?”

“President Trump tests positive for coronavirus.

African Presidents: Get well soon, President Trump.

Nigerians and other Africans BRUTALISED and KILLED in Africa.

African Presidents: silence. Deafening silence all round.”

Lawyer and socialite, Sandra Ankobiah joined in the call and posted “Mr. President @NAkufoAddo please show some empathy. Please show the Nigerian youth that you care. Please show some authority as the Head of Ecowas. Thank you”

In a related development, Nana Akufo Addo is reported to be mounting his seat as Ecowas chair and speak on the matter.
