A section of Ghanaians on social media are having mixed feeling about a bill that was privately sponsored by the member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram , Sam Nartey George making LGBT+ and its practice illegal in the country.
The member of parliament, who for the past few months has been one of the leading voices in parliament against LGBT+ and its activities in the country, privately sponsored a bill to floor of parliament. The bill when passed, will officially make it criminal for anyone to propagate LGBT+.
Excepts of the bill available to celebritieshype.com shows that the MP has asked the August house to ban LGBT advocacy, prohibit media houses from showing LGBT content on television among others.
Whiles some have applauded the Ningo Prampram MP for his exploit, others have wondered why the MP is so fixated on what happens between two adult than using that same energy and opportunity to sponsor bills that will benefit the Ghanaian.
