The LGBT society in Ghana has described a Bill before parliament making their advocacy and acts illegal in Ghana as backward and regressive.
The member of parliament for Ningo-Pramparm, Sam Nartey George , who for the past few months has been one of the leading voices in parliament against LGBT+ and its activities in the country, privately sponsored a bill to floor of parliament. The bill when passed will officially make it criminal for anyone to propagate LGBT+.
Anyone caught practicing lesbianism, gayism and the likes incur the risk of being jailed 6months to 10years.
Reacting to the bill via a social media post, they described it as backward, regressive and sheer wickedness.
“Seen the Private Members Bill? Horrible by all standards. 36 pages of backward, regressive, sheer wickedness and bloody suckers! Ghana, welcome to dark ages.“
