Evans Annan Acquah, a former journalist at Flex Newspaper and publicist of the NDC parliamentary candidate for the Trobu Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Maame Efua Sekyi-Aidoo has jabbed Samini for endorsing the candidature of Nana Akufo Addo.
According to him, Samini lacked the clout to pull or sway in voters for the president. He used his failure in the recent 3 Music awards as an example and doubted the pull power of the legendary Ghanaian musician.
He took to Facebook and said “
“SAMINI can’t even influence his ten fans to vote for him to win 3 Music Awards and VGMA, how well can he influence Ghanaians to vote for a political party with his empty song 
just shaking my head and laugh“
Samini joined the likes of Agya Koo , Prince David Osei, Praye who have pledge their support for the sitting president. The dancehall -reggae artist cemented his endorsement by releasing a campaign song for the president highlighting on his achievement.
In a related development, the NDC member of Ningo Prampram, Sam George has said that some celebrities were paid sums of GHC 50,000 to endorse the sitting president.
“Don’t be swayed by any funny endorsements people. We may love their music and groove to it but we don’t trust their political choices especially when they are worth GH500,000” he said.
