An avalanche of social media users particularly those on twitter have taken to the micro-blogging app to vent their displeasure with Shatta Wale over his attempt to use the brutality occurring in Nigeria to sell his music.
The multiple award winning reggae and dancehall artist, Shatta Wale shared a link to his new song calling for freedom in Nigeria. Titling his new song “Freedom” , he posted ” The people of Nigeria deserves FREEDOM. Free my people”
Unfortunately for Shatta Wale, his approach to the EndSARS movement wasn’t really appreciated by his followers and Nigerians in a whole as he was dragged on the app for his insensitive acts. Some deduce it as a means of cashing in on the predicaments facing Nigerians.
