Strongman Burner, a former signee of Sarkodie’s Sarkcess Music Record Label, is reported to have spent his days there pounding fufu for Sarkodie’s family.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, a presenter with Nyira FM, Ruthy, said she is reliably informed that Strongman performed some house duties and ‘served’ Sarkodie’s family.
She was so confident when she spoke in the video, stressing that she knew what she was talking about.
Ruthy added that Strongman was also tasked to wash Sarkodie’s cars during those times. She was pleased to announce, however, that Strongman has a collaboration coming up with Nigerian singer, Ice Prince, and called on Ghanaians to fully support the project when it comes out. We, however, cannot verify Ruthy’s claims about the fufu pounding.
Her claims follow earlier comments by Strongman that artistes should not be treated as house helps and slaves when they are signed onto a record label. This was during an interview he had with YFM and monitored by YEN.com.gh in which he said he has a lot of things to say about Sarkodie, but he would prefer to go silent because of the respect he has for his fans and the rapper. Strongman was under Sarkodie’s record label for two years but his impact was not felt until he left there. Meanwhile, musician Akwaboah also had his time at Sarkcess Music.
He also left a few years ago and made similar complaints about his shine being clouded while at Sarkcess Music. Today, both musicians are on their own and doing pretty much better releasing their own songs.
