Not so long after the Highly Spiritual Music artist Mr Drew dropped his new single “Eat” featuring Stonebwoy, he began getting positive feedback from fans all over.
This song from the onset was themed as a cover song of Rotimi’s hit record “Love Riddim”. In a video which surfaced recently, look like someone purposely reported this video to Rotimi via Instagram to get the video taken down for copyright infringement.
Rotimi who is signed under Empire Records apparently reported this issue to his team.
Mr Drew’s video was then taken down by YouTube after a possible report from Empire Records.
This got Mr Drew’s audience talking and a lot of people also raised various topics regarding the artist’s creative process and why he even decided to cover Rotimi’s song.

Highly Spiritual Music boss Kaywa who is also the producer of this song came out with an official statement stating that this is a plain oversight by their music publishers and they are working hand in hand with Rotimi’s team to resolve this.
As the matter grows, it begins to develop and awaken old issues, Mr Drew’s ex-label mates Yaw Berk and Kurl Songx took to twitter to say their piece without fear.
Yaw Berk stated that he hopes Mr Drew will not release the songs he wrote for him because and many more in series of tweets tailored below.
