On the 5th of August this year, social media went on a meltdown when popular American beer company, Budweiser took to its official social media handle Twitter to subtly announced the multi-million dollar company was thinking of having a collaboration with Ghana’s dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.
The handle which referred to Shatta Wale as the African dancehall king, made a public call to the artistes requesting for a collaboration on a supposed future project.
“@shattawalegh we hear you are #already the African Dancehall King.
How about linking up for a collab on a future project with the King of Beers?
KingsRecognizeKings #BeAKing”
Shatta wale, who clearly couldn’t hide his excitement and the millage the tweet came with, replied saying he was ready for the collabo.
It’s been 3 months now since the epic announcement was made by the American company and Ghanaians are yet to know what exactly the future project is about.
The “Melissa” hit-maker has been tight lip about the said project and Budweiser has also not given any clues as to what they are working on with the dancehall artist.
We are left as spectators and radical fans to be patient and expect something better in the future or throw our hopes in the bin.
