Founder and leader of the Perez Chapel, Bishop Charles Agyinasare has described those attacking him for his comments about the collapsed banking sector as attacked dogs unleashed to silence him.
Bishop Charles Agyinasare while preaching, appealed to Ghanaians to pray against the ‘demon’ that makes politicians collapse local businesses when they win power.
The presiding pastor also wondered why businesses like that of Ndum and Mr Duffour’s bank could be allowed to go down and subsequently closed by the Bank of Ghana. He further deduced that, Ghanaians are more tolerant to foreign companies than local ones.
His sermon , however, did not go down well with persons associated with the ruling party, who covertly herald a campaign against the clergy man. He was also accused of being one of the board members of Firstrust savings and loans and using it as a tool to finance himself and his church.
The church has debunked parts of the allegations via a statement.
According to Agyinasare, he was once a board member of First Firstrust savings and loans but he never solicited for a loan for himself or his church.
